The Kurani Family at AUB

Illuminating their links to both the Protestant community and education in the Middle East region, many members of the Kurani and affiliated families, worked the American University of Beirut. The list below shows the name of the Kurani family members, their dates of employment and the nature of their work at AUB. "entry for Leila Freije", who worked at AUB from 1966-1987 as a librarian

"entry for Raja Iliya", who worked at AUB from 1954-2012, eventually reaching the rank of Emeritus Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering

"entry for David Kurani", who worked at AUB from 1968 to the present within the Faculty of Fine Arts & Art History, and also taught on the Civilization Sequence Program

"entry for Habib Amin Kurani", who worked at AUB from 1922-1984, eventually reaching the rank of Emeritus Professor of Eduation

"entry for Ilyas Amin Kurani", who worked at AUB from 1922-1934 in various capacties, including manager of the Grounds and Buildings
